Make-up Artistry

During the training, you will be taught the following:

Basic Knowledge

• Complementary colours
• Anatomy of the face
• Application of the foundation
• Product use
• Corrective Make-up

Application of decorative Make-up

• For Photo shoots in the areas of Fantasy, Fashion, Beauty, Advertising and B&W
• For Events like Catwalks and Shows
• For Film-, Television- and Theatre productions
• For HD (High Definition) Productions

Additional areas covered

• Hygiene in the workplace
• Correct handling of materials
• Work etiquette

For this course, you will receive all the basic equipment needed.

Hairstyling

Today Hairstyling is a very important part of the role of a Make-up Artist. A separation of the two really only exists in the United States. However, it is not about cutting and dying, it is focused on styling. A professional Hairdresser and Stylist will teach you.

During your training, you will learn the following:

• Curling techniques
• Pinning techniques
• Use of the hairdryer
• Different Styles
• Parting techniques
• Different styling for Photography or Film
• Use of products and equipment
• Handling of wigs and hairpieces

FX-Make-up

If there is sufficient interest, a follow on course specialising in FX-Make-up can be held.

This would cover Wounds, Scars, Burns, Abrasions, Haematomas, Bullet wounds, old-age Make-up and the use of Gelatine, Silicon, Warm- and Cold Foam.

The dates for 2007 are yet to be determined. There will most likely be a course starting in May.

Courses will be held from Monday – Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. Additional Course dates might be added if there is sufficient demand.
